A cure for breast cancer. what more could we wish for?
Australia's favourite chocolate biscuit, Arnott's Tim Tam, has launched a limited edition product to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Arnott's will donate ten cents to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) for every packet of Tim Tam 'Pink Wish' Luscious Strawberry sold, which is expected to raise more then $150,000 for breast cancer research.
Tim Tam was recently voted the nation's third top brand behind Vegemite and the ABC[1], which isn't surprising given Australians eat more than 400 million Tim Tam biscuits every year! Arnott's Tim Tam Pink Wish is a delicious strawberry flavoured cream and fudge-filled biscuit that everyone can enjoy guilt-free, because the more packets sold, the more money raised to help find a cure for breast cancer.
According to Sue Murray, General Manager, NBCF, “We're so excited to have an Aussie icon like Arnott's on board as a Gold Partner, helping us to raise funds for breast cancer research. Arnott's Tim Tam is a product that is loved by Australian women, who should all be made aware of breast cancer.
Breast cancer is the major cause of cancer death in Australian women, accounting for more than 11,800 new cases of breast cancer and 2,600 deaths each year. In the past decade, mortality rates from breast cancer have fallen by 22 per cent and with continued support and funding of research from our partners like Arnott's, we hope this number will continue to decline.”
Arnott's Tim Tam 'Pink Wish' will be available on shelf at all leading supermarkets around the country from 18 September until sold out for a recommended retail price of $2.69.
While a packet of Arnott's Tim Tam biscuits that never ends may be wishful thinking, there is nothing more we could wish for then a cure for breast cancer.
